Inspiration

We wanted everyone to have access to machines even if their hardware was not good enough. In addition, it's a sandbox for testing various functions or learning new things.

What it does

Cloud Box allows you to create virtual machines (VMs) using Google Cloud and then lets you SSH into them for easily running commands

How we built it

We used Bootstrap for our front-end website and Google Cloud to host VMS. Django acts as a middleman that ties them all together.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with keeping a good internet connection and navigating the idiosyncrasies.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A fully functional web interface with adequate styling.

What we learned

We learned a lot about Google Cloud, Virtualization, SSH, and web development.

What's next for Cloud Box

We have a "wishlist" of features. Such as auto-running commands on connect, starting and stopping VMs, and making it more customizable.
