Inspiration

The idea for Closure came from a simple but painful truth: too many people never get the chance to say goodbye. Whether it’s due to a sudden accident or a long illness, something is always left unsaid. We wanted to create something that feels human a tool that helps loved ones find peace, even when you're gone.

What it does

Closure is a digital legacy tool that delivers your final message and automates your final wishes. You can:

Write a heartfelt message Set custom check-in timers Choose who receives it Decide what images get deleted or preserved Automatically clear your browser history Send your phone passcode when needed

Everything stays secure and private triggered only if you go silent.

How we built it

We used Figma for UX/UI, Bolt.new for building interactions, and OpenAI for logic support. Some actions (like deleting browsing data) aren’t executable on web, so we created clean demos and flows to show how it would work.

Challenges we ran into

Web limitations: Some system-level tasks aren’t possible through browsers. Expo delays: Mobile limitations slowed development, so we pivoted to focus on a reliable web MVP. Emotional UX: Designing for grief meant extra care in wording, timing, and UI flow.

Encrypted File Vaults Let users securely upload and store sensitive documents, passwords, or media files, accessible only after trigger conditions are met.

Legacy Automation Engine Enable advanced workflows like auto-notifying selected contacts, executing scheduled actions, and handing off personal data all without manual intervention.
