Inspiration
Terrible Shopping experiences; old sidescroller games
What it does
Allows a window into the worst possible shopping experience, from the safety of your home. So your retail experience would be improved the next time you go out shopping; you have a greater appreciation for what you have.
How I built it
Hand-coded, no libraries used, all artwork done by us, as well as the music (which was built on Online Sequencer).
Challenges I ran into
Determining how to put the music into a loop in the runtime environment Putting separate classes together into one coherent project. Making the graphics flow properly
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Building a functional sidescroller game in a matter of hours, something we weren't quite sure we could do Working as a team to accomplish goals
What I learned
How to better delegate responsibility when setting up roles for a project Time management How to organize sleep schedules to maximize productivity in a limited timeframe.
