Inspiration

We wanted to merge startup obsession, internet hauntology, and generative AI into something that felt cursed and clickable. What if you could confess your weirdest ideas or thoughts… and get judged by ghostly AI clones of startup archetypes? Thus, Ghost Council was born — part confessional, part séance, part pitch-room-from-hell.

What it does

Ghost Council is a haunted terminal experience. Users type confessions or pitch ideas, which are judged by an ensemble of cursed AI clones — like Exit Bro, Vision Spiral, and The Ruthless Idealist. Each clone gives glitchy, stylized feedback via creepy videos and voiceovers.

How we built it

Frontend: Custom HTML/CSS terminal interface with glitch aesthetics and Matrix fonts

Video: Veo + Runway for clone animations

Logic: Confession input + character selection + data injection + haunted visual themes

Hosting: Built in Bolt and tested in Replit, with static video overlays and custom assets

Challenges we ran into

Maintaining visual continuity across AI-generated videos (Veo scene control is hard)

Syncing eerie audio with dynamic inputs

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Designed and shipped an immersive, bizarre experience from scratch

Created a functional haunted terminal with interactive AI clone feedback

Managed to tie together dozens of scattered assets into a cohesive narrative and vibe

What we learned

Immersion > complexity — a clean visual wrapper elevates even fake interactivity

Style and humor are underrated UX tools

There's room for lore-driven utility in games and generative experiences

What's next for Clone Council

Add Reddit integration

Turn it into a game

Let users become clones and judge others

Host gamified pitch events judged by AI ghosts
