Inspiration
Clipper Ship is an inspirational foundation, that provides for so many different non-profit organizations. Hearing about their three pain points we knew we could make a difference in all aspects they were struggling with by using our group's strengths. From Hannah's creativity, and Madeline's articulate and professional writing to Rowan's strategy and organization and Caitlyn's data visualization skills. We attacked their pain points from all sides, playing to our own strengths to elevate their incredible foundation.
What it does
Our project helps to organize processes allowing the board to more efficiently spend their time. It also works to promote Clipper Ship and contribute to rebranding to simultaneously broaden their reach, while also showcasing the kinds of organizations they want to give grants to allowing for more relevant applicants. We also created a streamlined way to input and visualize data that they can then use to effectively assess the work that their money does.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the new and easy-to-use financial template that we have produced to ease the work of the volunteers for the foundation. Furthermore, we are delighted to have manufactured a social media presence, complete with sleek models that volunteers may draw from for future posts. We have also assembled over ten email designs to cover the communications for the foundation with potential beneficiary organizations.
What's next for Clipper Ship Foundation 2024 Hack
This hack is ready to be implemented immediately - much of our work is providing templates and resources that will be used throughout the year in order to streamline and help the organization through its pain points. The website redesign is the section that yet has the most work to be done as their website could not be directly edited due to permissions, but we have established verbiage and a visual identity that will carry the rebranding process. In all, what is next for this hack is an implementation that empowers and makes volunteers’ lives easier, helping the people who spend so much of their time making the world a better place.
