Inspiration

Creating short-form content is time-consuming. Many creators have great ideas but struggle to turn them into strong hooks, concise scripts, captions, and consistent publishing plans. We built ClipForge to make that process faster and easier.

What it does

ClipForge is an AI-powered content assistant for short-form video creators. Users can enter a rough idea, paste an article, or provide video content, and ClipForge transforms it into:

Engaging hooks
Short-form video scripts
Platform-ready captions
Content titles and hashtags
Calls to action
Publishing plans

The generated content can be adapted for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.

How we built it

We designed a simple workflow that takes the user's source material, identifies the most valuable ideas, and uses AI to generate structured content optimized for short-form video. The interface allows users to select their preferred platform, tone, audience, and video length before generating the final content package.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was turning long or unstructured material into concise content without losing its original meaning. We also had to balance creativity with consistency and make sure each script sounded natural rather than generic or overly AI-generated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created an end-to-end workflow that can turn an unfinished idea into a usable short-form content package within minutes. ClipForge reduces repetitive work while still giving creators control over tone, format, and messaging.

What we learned

We learned that effective AI content generation requires more than simply producing text. The output must understand the target audience, platform, pacing, hook, and desired action. We also learned the importance of giving users simple editing and customization options.

What's next for ClipForge

Next, we plan to add automatic video transcription, multilingual content generation, trend discovery, team collaboration, content scheduling, and performance-based recommendations. Our goal is to make ClipForge a complete AI workspace for short-form content creation.
