Inspiration
I used to run a TikTok account with over 200K followers, creating viral content for brands. The bottleneck was never ideas and it was production. Every client wanted more ad variations, more formats, more platforms. I was spending 80% of my time editing and 20% doing actual creative work. I started automating pieces of my own workflow with AI tools, and at some point I realized: if I needed this, every agency did too. That's when Clipate was born.
What it does
Clipate lets marketing agencies generate video ad variations for Meta, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn without filming, editing, or hiring extra creatives. You feed it a brief, it outputs ready-to-publish video ads. The whole point is giving agencies the creative output of a full production team at a fraction of the time and cost.
How I built it
I started by mapping the exact workflow I used manually as a content creator hooks, formats, platform ratios, caption styles — and turned that into a system an AI could replicate. The stack is built for speed and multi-client use, because agencies don't manage one brand, they manage twenty. Every design decision came from real agency feedback, not assumptions.
Challenges I ran into
The hardest part wasn't the AI it was making the output actually feel like something a human creative would be proud of. Early versions were technically correct but creatively flat. Getting the balance between automation and quality took a lot of iteration. Also building for agencies specifically means the workflow has to handle multiple clients cleanly, which adds complexity that single-brand tools don't have to think about.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Honestly, the moment an agency told me they went from producing 8 ad variations per week to over 40 and without adding anyone to the team that hit differently. Coming from the content creation world myself, I knew that number meant something real. That's not a metric, that's someone's stress level dropping significantly.
What I learned
That the best products come from living the problem yourself. I wasn't guessing what agencies needed and I had been in the trenches as a creator working with them. That context shaped every feature decision. I also learned that "built for agencies" has to mean more than a logo on the homepage. It has to show up in the workflow.
What's next for Clipate Video Maker
More platform formats, deeper client management features, and tighter feedback loops so the AI gets better with every campaign. The goal is to become the creative production layer that every performance marketing agency runs on with the tool they can't imagine working without.
