Inspiration

Corona has given us a hard time. Sometimes, People with comparatively lesser access to medical services would require an immediate medical diagnosis. We have designed an WebApp that serves this process

What it does

Clinical ChatBot analyses the given symptoms and gives a verbal and textual output consisting of a primary diagnosis. It gives a list of hospitals available in a region. We intend to scale the app to larger extend with additional features providing medical aid.

How we built it

We used basic HTML and CSS for the layout. Api-medic is used as the source of data. This API provides a detailed analysis of the given symptoms. Bootstrap framework is used to enhance the layout.

Challenges we ran into

Requesting data through API was challenging. The parameters required are of a unique type. Processing the request and data returned was quite challenging. Authentication was different too. Making use of webSpeech API and embedding it into the app was interesting and great to learn. It took some time to actually implement chat UI and Bot characteristics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned a lot. Especially working with APIs. We are confident that we could develop apps by making use of APIs. We have also learned about WebSpeech API. It was quite interesting and we are in a process of developing simple webapps for children to learn and play.

What we learned

Bootstrap. APIs. Designing Chat UI. Bot Characteristics

What's next for Clinical ChatBot

We would like to scale this app further. We intend to add functionalities that support communication with doctors and hospitals, thereby making appointments. Adding features like Health Alerts, and Trivia, Necessary tips for self assessment.
