Inspiration

In this time of uncertainty surrounding healthcare for low income section of the U.S., we found it necessary to utilize technology to better streamline this process. Inefficiencies of the system lead to certain clinics being full with long lines and other clinics being underutilized. Therefore, ClinicConnect solves these issues by allowing patients in need for immediate help to avoid busy clinics and head to more available resources. ClinicConnect is the solution to this public health crisis by providing faster response time and giving patients the help they need immediately. Community health centers that are able to respond faster to those who are in need of immediate help , and those who are close to overdosing on analgesics, are more likely to save lives and ClinicConnect is a simple yet effective in saving lives.

What it does

By scraping JSON databases with geographical locations, we could locate clinics in the area that were currently above or below optimal use and redirect patients as needed. Additionally, ClinicConnect established a standardized appointment system so that the patient can let clinicians know ahead of time what sort of issues they have.

How we built it

Because of the transfer of patient data, we've encrypted our mobile application to be HIPPA-compliant. Our final workflow step consists of the user getting to the clinic by either opening google maps or directly calling an uber through the tap of Button.
