Inspiration
We were inspired by the theme of connection and the desire to create a game where the idea is to make the player feel like they have to make connections with people in order to win the game.
What it does
How we built it
Our project was built using Unity 6 and Github.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was dealing with merge conflicts in Github. We formatted our project as having a main repository then branching off into branches of that repository for each of us to make our own changes and save them to the main repository. Another challenge we had was the fact that one of our members was remote and we had to try and work around it. We were able to stay in good communication by keep in touch through group calls and a livestream that he hosted link for his own channel.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to make it as far as we did with our game. We clearly had a vision and the tools and skills to create it.
What we learned
We learned that making games with Github gets very complicated, especially with the problems that come with multiple branches of the main repository.
What's next for Corpo
What's next for Corpo is to fix the scripts so that the NPC mechanic can work properly, and fix the UI elements so that the score is properly tracked.
