Inspiration
Climate change is not only an environmental issue—it can directly affect human health. We were inspired by the need to make complex climate and environmental data easier for people to understand and act upon. This led us to create ClimateShield Ai, a platform focused on connecting environmental conditions with potential health risks.
What We Built
ClimateShield Ai combines weather, air quality, location, and user-profile data to generate a personalized ClimateShield Risk Score. It considers factors such as:
🌡️ Extreme heat
🌫️ Air pollution
☀️ UV exposure
💧 Humidity
🌪️ Extreme weather conditions
Instead of presenting users with complicated raw data, the platform converts these factors into understandable risk levels, early warnings, and preventive recommendations.
How We Built It
We designed the project around a data-driven pipeline:
Environmental Data → Risk Analysis → ClimateShield Risk Score → Early Warning → Personalized Recommendation
The platform uses APIs and AI-based analysis to process environmental information and turn it into actionable insights.
What We Learned
While developing ClimateShield Ai, we learned how to combine real-world environmental data, APIs, AI-driven analysis, and user-focused design into a single solution. We also learned that presenting data clearly is just as important as collecting it.
Challenges We Faced
One of our biggest challenges was bringing different environmental factors together into a meaningful risk assessment. We also had to think about how to present complex information without overwhelming the user.
Through the development process, we improved our understanding of API integration, data processing, AI-based risk assessment, and UI/UX design.
Our Vision
With ClimateShield Ai, our goal is to move from simply showing climate data to helping people understand risks, receive timely warnings, and take preventive action.
