🌱 Inspiration
ClimateQuest was inspired by the urgent need to promote sustainable habits and raise climate change awareness among young adults. I aimed to create a platform that encourages real-world eco-friendly actions while combining gamification and community engagement to consistently motivate users.

ClimateQuest enables users to:
- Complete and verify eco-friendly actions with photos
- Earn points and climb leaderboards 🏆
- Participate in eco-challenges and explore community posts 🌿
- Use an AI-powered climate chatbot for guidance and tips 🤖
- Access a study page to learn about environmental issues 📚
🛠 How I built it
- Frontend: Next.js 13 + React + Tailwind CSS
- Backend: Next.js API routes + MongoDB
- Authentication: NextAuth.js for secure sessions
- AI Integration: Groq API + LLaMA-4 for task verification
- UI Components: Cards, Avatars, Badges, Tabs for an engaging interface
⚔️ Challenges I ran into
- Handling image uploads and AI-based verification
- Maintaining real-time updates for posts and leaderboard
- Designing an intuitive, visually appealing interface for all users
