Inspiration
According to the Footprint Calculator, where you live has a great impact on the amount of impact you have on the climate. It is important to optimize your personal choices, but also to affect change in local government to ensure that less goes to waste and the most eco-friendly, but economical solution is found for various solutions.
What it does
Allows users to score themselves on the actions they take that impact the environment Allows users to petition members of their government.
How we built it
We built it using react and chakra, and we used the Google civic information api to get information about representatives.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge I ran into was with using Chakra UI with React. I had made some smaller React apps, but this was the first time I used Chakra and I ran into a few issues with it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am really proud of the app idea and I also am proud of the speed with which I implemented it.
