Inspiration: Our inspiration was: we wanted to make a difference and a main problem is global warming
What it does: It gives statistics on co2 emissions and other factors that cause global temperature change
How we built it; We used Javascript, CSS, and HTML5 to get the elements on the screen and make them interactive.
Challenges I ran into: The buttons that needed to be pressed within the map would get displaced based on where they were
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: We are proud that we worked well as a team to get a product that works, Also we were able to trouble shoot the issues that we had with the buttons, which took us a while to get all figured out but in the end it all resolved.
What I learned I learned that in CSS when using and import statement you have to put it at the top. I also learned a lot about HTML and JS
What's next for Climate Index: Although the entirety of the project wasn't complete, our future is promising. We hope to fully integrate our interactive and highly informative system. More data is to be added over time, as this can be beneficial for politicians, environmentalists, scientists, and just the common man. We hope to inform the world about this epidemic and its future ramifications with the Climate Index.
