Climate Conserver

Inspiration

In todays world climate change is a huge problem so we decided that we wanted to program a solution. Climate change affects not only our lives but everything and everyone around us. This problem inspired us to come up with a solution.

What it does

We created an app that tracks you impact on climate change based on a log. You get points daily based on how good you did and if you reached a certain number of points you will be rewarded.

How we built it

We used python to ask for inputs on questions and give kind responses. It tracks the information you log to give you points and status report. The more points you have, the closer we're getting to saving our planet.

Challenges we ran into

We wanted to create a website the connected with our code but we weren't able to do it with the language we were using.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we could complete the structure and first prototype of our project and that it is working smoothly.

What we learned

We learned that we needed patience to overcome difficulty when things went wrong.

What's next for Climate Conserver

• We could connect news sources to our code to help users stay informed
• We would compare points by city, county, state, and country to see which area is more climate friendly
• Rewards could include tax cuts in certain areas or cash checks to really motivate people
• We would make this a website so it is neater and easier to look at
• You will get daily reminders/reminders(calendar, phone, email notifications, etc.) to take care of the climate
• We could keep updating the log/questions so we could get more details
• We can add specific statistics that show your improvement over time
