Inspiration

As we all know, climate change is a major concern for all the people in the world and as a result of which more and more people are becoming prone to pollution and abnormal weather conditions. As for my country India, some cities are there in the most polluted cities of the world and a lot of people are getting affected from it while also ending up dying.

What it does

The app shows the weather condition of a place both in celcius and fahrenheit by accesing your location access of the device and it will tell you about the pollution level of the place and will tell you the necessary steps to stay safe. (Although the later part of the project has not yet been designed due to lack of time complexity)

How we built it

It is mainly built with CSS, HTML and Javascript and we plan to integrate machine learning with datasets and APIs for the later part of the project.

Challenges we ran into

As, time was short the later half of the project was still in the ideation part and due to lack of members I have failed to implement it but also integrating the weather API into the main application was a tough one.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am actually proud to present a working prototype for the first part of the project within this short period of time.

What we learned

We learned a lot about time management and importance of team and working together.

What's next for Climate Awareness App

The app will remain open source in Github while also the later half of the app which includes training of datasets and API integration will be done so that accurate measures can be told by the app to individuals assessing the pollution of the region.
