To date, global temperatures have risen by 1.2 degrees compared to pre-industrial. This has already had many effects on our d planet's environment. If only by the policies that are now being implemented by global governments, temperatures will continue to rise to 2.2 degrees to 3.4 degrees compared to pre-industrial. What will be the consequences of this? If every Canadian keeps increasing their energy consumption, we have noticed some important negative outcomes at the global level. As monster consumers among our international peers, it is our duty be conscious about this issue and to act towards a common global well-being. Indeed, according to our calculations, Canadians are collectively increasing gas emissions every year. If we take this information and correlate it to the melting of glaciers, this increase in gas emissions is causing the significant melting of ice sheets. Consequently, the alarming sea level is increasing every passing year mostly due by the ice melting. Then, this has an impact on the coastal land that has slowly started to get submerged by the increasing quantities of water being released through the melting of ice; land losses are therefore occurring. Finally, this causes the displacement of people of regions affected by flooding. Therefore, through this visual graph, we are aiming at bringing awareness on the impact of our excessive energy consummation here in Canada. We hope people will take this issue seriously and take action.
