I created FRAUDGAURD after noticing the increasing number of scams and frauds, where the general public often loses their personal data and funds because of something that is accessible to everyone, yet no one is ready to verify or report it. So, i created this platform to connect consumers directly with the Cyber Cell. Encounter a scam ,get redirected to the Cyber Cell instantly!
FRAUDGAURD platform is currently in its early stage. For now, it focuses on the first step toward achieving goal:- detecting scams by verifying and scanning the domains of URLs. It also provides information about the threats associated with a URL and indicates how dangerous or safe it is.
To build our first-ever project, FRAUDGAURD, we used different repositories and open-source code, and constructed the project with the assistance of Claude AI. As we were non-coders, this was our approach for developing the prototype. The code we used was primarily based on Python, HTML, and CSS.
I faced quite a lot of different challenges, as it was my first time entering the world of coding. Even the most basic tasks felt difficult at times, but our teamwork and all the effort i put in truly paid off.
When i started with the idea of FRAUDGAURD, it felt almost impossible, as we did not even know the basics of coding. Now, our project has reached just the first step toward its actual goal, proud that able to bring this idea to life. We are truly looking forward to developing it further and continuing to work on it.
Through the development of FRAUDGAURD, we learned a lot about fake and malicious websites, as well as different methods of approaching a single problem. This experience gave us a better understanding of how frontend and backend development work and provided us with many new ideas for improving our project.
The future of FRAUDGAURD is much bigger. As I mentioned, this is just the first step and not even the beginning of our ambition. Our next step is to add an AI-generated complaint system and a direct redirection system to the Cyber Cell.
