Clickr

Inspiration

I was interested in clicker training and saw that improvements could be made to the process over the analog clicker.

What it does

Acts as a clicker with ability to change sounds, count reps and days, and provide info notifications.

How we built it

A backbone of Java using the MVC pattern, with the GUI built with JavaFX and SceneBuilder.

Challenges we ran into

This was my first time using JavaFX AudioClips and javafx.media. I also created this on a shorter time limit and drew the illustrations myself.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I like seeing how quickly I was able to prototype this and add my own drawings into it.

What we learned

I learned how to work with AudioClips and how to add my own illustrations into the programs.

What's next for Clickr

I would love to speak with a behavioral scientist and develop empirically accurate intervals for treat notification to make the process easy for dog owners to follow.
