ClearViolation emerged from a collective concern for road safety and a shared aspiration to empower individuals in contributing to their community's well-being. Witnessing the surge in traffic violations, our team aimed to create a solution addressing these issues while fostering a sense of shared responsibility.

What it does 📸🚔

ClearViolation is an innovative application enabling users to report traffic violations through simple snapshots. Leveraging the power of OpenCV, our backend swiftly detects number plates, facilitating law enforcement verification and penalty application via a dedicated police dashboard. Users are incentivized with credits for valid reports, redeemable for exciting coupons, creating a dynamic and engaging approach to traffic management.

How we built it 💻🛠️

Our project's foundation rests on a robust Django backend and seamless communication through our web interface. The magic of OpenCV enhances our ability to process user-submitted images, while a well-integrated reward system and police dashboard ensure a comprehensive solution. The collaborative effort of our team brought these elements together seamlessly.

Challenges we ran into 🤔🛑

We encountered challenges in integrating diverse technologies, particularly ensuring smooth collaboration between the user interface, OpenCV, and the police dashboard. Efficient data storage and processing were crucial, and we overcame these hurdles through a multi-threaded approach and the implementation of caching mechanisms.

Our team takes pride in our effective workflow, powered by continuous deployment on Heroku, minimizing development time and conflicts. We developed a robust databases on sqlite3 with streamlined data management, and successful integration of OpenCV showcased our commitment to technological excellence.

What we learned 🧠📚

The project provided the team with deep insights into Python, Django, REST apis, MySQL , Sklearn, Tailwind. We honed our skills in classifier implementation and database management, gaining valuable knowledge as a collective.
