Inspiration
One of our team members, Aryan Prabhudesai, has ADHD and knows many others with cognitive disabilities. Many of us have difficulty in managing our personal finances, especially with all the complicated terms and figures. Our team notices that the market currently lacks applications/websites which are friendly to such users. So, we decided to solve the problem ourselves.
What it does
The website integrates with traditional banking applications and simplifies and makes the user experience more accessible, through a tailored interface designed to help people with cognitive impairments.
How we built it
We used pre-existing knowledge combined with agentic tools to iteratively improve our website.
Challenges we ran into
Select a target demographic for this hackathon, narrowing the angle of approach. Conveying information about our project in a concise manner in our presentation, as there is so much to talk about.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Staying focused for 10 hours on end. Finding a solution we are both passionate about. Choosing a technical method after exploring multiple options.
What we learned
Patience. How to work in a team despite being on different devices. Understanding the true scale of the lack of accessibility in banking, after going through various articles and statistics.
What's next for ClearSpend
Adding the developments, that are detailed in the PDF. Developing the features more in general. Connecting with real banks to help real customers.
