Problem

A patient may be fit to leave the hospital, but the work required to close the encounter might be incomplete. One missing step can delay the patient discharge, reduce bed utilization, increase staff workload, and impact revenue.

Solution

ClearanceBot is a read-only coordination Agent for hospital staffs. It continuously organizes daily doctor and nurse notes and shows what is complete, what is pending, who owns each blocker, and what evidence supports it. It groups the findings into Pharmacy, Finance, and Discharge work areas. A chat answers questions and reminds about readiness, pending work, or blockers.

Daily clinical notes create events. A graph orchestrator routes findings to Pharmacy, Finance, and Discharge sub-agents. Each sub-agent prepares a draft and preserves source evidence. Staff review and approve changes before anything is saved.

Why our team can build it

The team combines product ownership and AI engineering experience in a healthcare organization.

AI and Codex usage

Codex helped refine the problem, build and test the prototype, add the chat overlay, create the demo video, and create Figma screens.

Key features

  • Patient clearance overview.
  • Daily doctor and nurse notes with source evidence.
  • Pharmacy, Finance, and Discharge completion levels.
  • Pending blockers with owner and evidence.
  • Human review before marking work complete.
  • ClearanceBot chat overlay.

Limitations

The prototype uses synthetic data and mock agent responses. It has no live EHR, billing, pharmacy, payer, or claims-scrubber integration.
