Inspiration

This idea came from something real. My dad was reading his annual physical results and kept stopping to Google every other word. Even after searching, he still wasn’t sure what some things meant or how they affected his daily life. That moment made me realize how common this problem is, and how much clearer healthcare could be if someone simplified it.

What it does

ClearAid+ takes medical documents like prescriptions, lab results, or visit summaries and turns them into simple explanations that normal people can actually understand. We don't provide medical advice, only clarity.

How we built it

I focused on designing how the app would work, what features it should have, and how it could explain medical information in a safe and easy way. The idea is centered around accessibility, language, and simple explanations.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was working around ethical limits. Anything related to health and AI can easily cross into medical advice, so I had to design ClearAid+ in a way that only explains information, not diagnoses or treats anything, as that's a risky boundary to step into.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud that the idea fills a real gap in healthcare and stays completely ethical. The fact that I solved a real problem I encountered also impresses me.

What we learned

I learned how many people struggle with basic medical paperwork and how important clear communication is. Even small misunderstandings can cause big problems.

What's next for ClearAid+

Next, I want to sketch simple mockups and explore how cultural and language personalization can become even stronger features. Ultimately, I want to also start coding this project and bring this idea to life.
