Inspiration

The way internet has been the made me to realise that data is going to be the fuel of future and suddenly one day back before college my father encountered an incident where he bought his new phone but forgot his old mail ID, even the data along with his mail ID went off. Since, everyone on internet has data accessed to mail ID and we don't have that email ID now. It indulged me into a thought of finding about data linked with email ID as it could also be attacked and my father's data could be leaked and then I saw about companies employee not much aware with cybersecurity or ransomware threats so I thought of a autonomous system to be build for guiding, retrieving and protection of data.

What it does

At Ransomfree, we are working on 3 cycled approach, of making individual or employee about their data privacy and cyber threats as well as learning about how this data is actually a precious gem which is taken away from us without consent. First, educate cybersecurity, where we have quiz to learn about the cybersecurity in form of interactive learning session. Second, we have the ClearTrace, where we learned about the data we have on open internet by just entering the email ID for making the best out of it about how you have been till now using your email ID. Third, last we have the checklist, in which once every data of the user is verified and it will automatically tell the safety measures which the user has to take in order to make his email/account more secure.

How we built it

We built it using php, we made our main website in that and other things are made with flask in python and we have also used osint framework to get all the data retrivel tools. we used tinker as GUI, HTML,CSS javascript to make the website

Challenges we ran into

a lot of codes were not running and we ultimately have to find the solution all by ourself, there was even time when we thought of giving up thsi project but we stayed on the track and finally made the prototype.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

There are a lot of accomplishments that we are proud of including both in terms as a team and an individual. firstly this hackathon has provided us the opportunity to present our idea which could serve as a well being for a lot of people in this world. and it forced us to push our limit both mentally and physically which resulted in upliftment of spirit as an individual and a team.

What we learned

We learned a lot of different things such as presentation, wordpress, how to use github, how to find the bug inside a project and many more things which will result in the upliftment of our skills
