CleanQuest: A social media like platform for students to enhance campus sustainablity by posting their day to day environmental activities in the application. • Users will be able to post their photos and videos of them doing environment improving activities, For example: Watering a tree, Throwing some waste lying on the road in the bin, Closing a running tap and etc. • Each post will carry a certain points, and the points system will be based on the environmental impact of the activity done. The user will be requested to select the category of activity in the listed categories. • Every user will be able to participate in a leaderboard challenge, it will be based on points collected by them daily, weekly, monthly or all-time. Also there will be daily tasks for users to gain some extra points in that day. This will create a competition between students and will keep them motivated. • To ensure there’s no false uploads or cheats, users will be requested to share the location of the photo or video taken. Our idea will have a new kind of voting system where the other users can vote for the genuinity of the post. Points for the post will be granted only if it is approved as genuine. • Further an AI model will be implemented in our idea to check the genuinity of the post based on its location and user interaction in the photo or video. • To ensure that users vote other’s posts our idea will give only one post for free daily, from that users will have to vote atleast 5 posts to post the next image/contribution. • If the post has been identified as a false one, the user will get penalties. • The winners of the leaderboard will receive badges visible in their profile, goodies and grace marks for monthly leaderboards (if-possible). • In future, Time limited tasks, Group Tasks by Forming a team and etc events maybe conducted to make sure the students are always motivated. Our idea focuses not only on students, but also on teachers, staff or anyone in the campus with a smartphone to use the application for helping us moving the campus to greener one.
