My inspiration for this project was the fact that our world is being polluted every single second, and one of the first problems that comes to mind about our community is pollution! This game shows people what types of disgusting, unbelonging trash is infesting our waters. Hopefully, this simple game will inspire people to become active and start to advocate for saving our world from pollution. I built this by using the Game Lab in code.org, and by typing my code in Javascript. There were many challenges I ran into. One of the major challenges was displaying a message for if the user lost the game at the right time. I couldn't figure out how to make the losing message not appear for the whole game, but I figured it out by debugging and getting external help from my mother. An accomplishment I am proud of is keeping my code organized, even with so many variables and if statements. I learned how to use arrows to move sprites. I also learned how to use if statements, and use variables in the backend to represent something in the frontend. I think that this game will just stay as a game, but I might start getting more active in STEAM clubs and environmental clubs.
