Inspiration

CleanFlow AI was inspired by my real experience as the co-owner of a cleaning company. Every day, I manage schedules, cleaner assignments, client communication, service changes, payment adjustments, and unexpected issues. Many of these tasks happen across phone calls, text messages, emails, and spreadsheets, making operations time-consuming and easy to lose track of.

My goal was to create a single platform that brings these everyday workflows together. CleanFlow AI helps business owners stay organized, simplify daily operations, improve communication, and make better decisions by keeping everything in one place.

What it does

CleanFlow AI is an operations platform designed for cleaning businesses. It helps owners manage schedules, clients, cleaners, service locations, communication, and daily operations from one dashboard.

The platform includes job scheduling, cleaner and client portals, AI-assisted communication, notifications, reporting, and operational tools that help reduce manual administrative work while keeping everyone connected. It is designed to simplify day-to-day management and create a better experience for both business owners and their teams.

How we built it

CleanFlow AI was built using Codex and GPT-5.6. Codex was used to build, test, debug, and refine the working application, including the dashboard, scheduling workflows, client and cleaner portals, and communication features.

GPT-5.6 helped shape the product by developing workflows, refining the user experience, improving the AI-assisted communication features, and organizing ideas into a practical solution based on real business operations. Together, these tools allowed the project to evolve quickly from an idea into a working prototype.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was transforming a real-world business workflow into an intuitive software experience. Cleaning businesses have many moving parts, including scheduling, communication, service changes, and day-to-day operations, so designing a platform that keeps everything organized required many iterations and continuous refinement.

Another challenge was deciding which features were most important for the first working prototype while keeping the long-term vision focused on building a complete operations platform.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The accomplishment we're most proud of is turning a real business problem into a working prototype that demonstrates how AI can simplify daily operations for cleaning companies.

We're also proud of creating a solution based on firsthand industry experience rather than assumptions. Every feature in the prototype was inspired by real operational challenges and designed with the goal of helping business owners save time, improve communication, and stay organized.

What we learned

Building CleanFlow AI reinforced how important it is to deeply understand the people you're designing for. By starting with real operational challenges instead of features, we were able to create a solution that feels practical and meaningful.

We also learned how powerful Codex and GPT-5.6 can be for rapidly developing, refining, and improving a software product while continuously iterating on ideas and user experience.

What's next for CleanFlow AI

Our vision is to continue evolving CleanFlow AI into a complete operations platform for cleaning businesses. Future plans include AI-powered scheduling assistance, multilingual support, inventory and supply management, smarter notifications, business insights, and deeper workflow automation.

Our goal is to help cleaning companies spend less time on administration and more time growing their business while delivering better service to their clients.
