Inspiration I'm a clean freak that initially built the app called Pee Spots. Yes, pee. The original concept was intended to be a fun and whimsical app where users can contribute sites that have clean and healthy bathrooms, add photos and rate the bathrooms. I also thought that the app could reach its tipping point and begin to self perpetuate. That hasn't happened and since January, I re-branded the app "CleanSpots" [one word]. It is live and currently available on Google Play and the App Store. The web site that promotes this is www.cleanspotsapp.com.
What it does The app is considered a map aggregation. Clean Spots has been upmarketed to appeal to business owners that wish to promote their locations, push coupons and otherwise leverage the app and social media.
How I built it Cubix built the entire project.
Challenges I ran into Finances are a huge challenge. And, marketing the app has proven challenging.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of Bringing an app of this magnitude to fruition is a huge accomplishment in its own right.
What I learned Never look back and say "I wonder what would have become of...."
What's next for Clean Spots Equity investors or a straight out sale.
