Inspiration:

We were guided by the determination to create something everyone can use that will continuously be utilized.

What it does:

This app tracks your and your city's carbon footprint, allowing users to understand their impact on their city and the environment.

How we built it

We used SwiftUI (Xcode) to build this app's front end and visuals, then Python to access data and display it on the app.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we faced were with XCode. It is only available on IOS devices and is extremely difficult to get on Windows machines. A workaround was getting an extension on VS code to code in SwiftUI, with the only drawback that you can't see what you've made until it's on an IOS device. Due to that, we faced difficulty with frontend and backend communications, despite both operating well separately.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to be able to create what we did and, most importantly, learn a lot along the way.

What we learned

We learned to navigate and utilize SwiftUI, Xcode, Flask,Render, and GitHub to create this extraordinary app.

What's next for Clean Living

Moving forward, we can incorporate a section or page to track government policies that affect the environment around the location where the user is located. Another idea is a search system that makes it easy for users to find information on other cities or countries.
