Clean In Sight

Inspiration The inspiration comes from the pressing global issue of energy consumption and climate change. I wanted to make this heavy topic accessible to a younger audience by creating a heartwarming, Pixar-style narrative. The character "Sparky" represents the potential of clean energy—lively, precious, and something we need to protect.

What it does "Clean In Sight" is a short animated film that visualizes the relationship between humanity and energy. Through the interaction between the boy and the energy sprite, the film subtly educates viewers on SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). It transforms the invisible concept of power usage into a visible, emotional connection.

How we built it I utilized Generative AI tools to create the visual assets, maintaining a consistent cinematic 3D animation style.

Visuals: Generated using Google Gemini and Hailuo AI for consistent character design.

Music: Background score composed by Suno AI.

Editing: Assembled and color-graded in Premiere / CapCut.

Script & Story: Co-written with Gemini.

Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was character consistency. Keeping "Sparky" (the energy sprite) and the boy looking the same across different AI-generated shots required extensive prompt engineering and iterative refinement. Ensuring the lighting matched the emotional tone of each scene was also a technical hurdle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of I am proud of achieving a cohesive "Pixar-like" aesthetic entirely through AI, proving that AI can be a powerful tool for storytelling. I successfully turned a complex environmental topic into an engaging visual story within a short timeframe.

What we learned I learned valuable techniques in controlling AI video generation to maintain temporal consistency. I also discovered how music and sound design (generated by AI) can significantly elevate the emotional impact of a visual piece.

What's next for Clean In Sight I plan to expand this into a mini-series, where Sparky visits different locations (cities, oceans, forests) to solve other environmental problems, covering more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
