Inspiration

Because of the emergence of AI, most of the repetitive tasks can be automated. Education sector isn't free from that. Teaching is extremely repetitive. Also exam script checking is a boring task. The first step of our project was to automate that. Also traditional education system is becoming obsolete. The value of graduates decreased but the value of skill will remain same. Today's AI is good for generalist tasks. So we used AI so that proactive learners can get an easily usable product. Also as the traditional education system is losing it's value, we want to create a new standard where any student can share there high school projects and achievements. Rather than judging on their academic success, this platform can be a "LinkedIn" for students, enthusiasts and teachers.

What it does

  1. Created a classroom so that any educational institute can integrate with it. Used advanced features like automated exam script checking
  2. Wanted to create a platform where the students can do practice on any topic. generated mcq but it can be transformed into any question generator
  3. Created a course creation system where students can learn any topic with few prompts.
  4. Live video call with ai teacher where the student can get roadmap, consultation service and doubt solving.
  5. For personalized social media experience, created a social media platform focused on students and teachers. students can publish their projects achievements and be connected with teachers.
  6. Marketing channel for educational events. Students will have a reliable source of information about workshops, conferences worldwide.

How we built it

We worked on Automated Exam script checking earlier, though not implemented in this project completely. Used bolt.new for frontend. Also used AI models like GPT, Claude to generate, edit code and fix bugs.

Challenges we ran into

Bolt.new cannot create large projects. so we shifted to manual approach after sometime. as bolt could do python, we made the backend using other AI.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The platform can solve the daily students problem.

  1. the students get easily distracted by social media so an education focused social media can help them.
  2. it can lessen teachers' pain to check exam scripts manually
  3. Using AI, any student can develop himself. And we showed a path for them.

What we learned

Present AI can code well if we can code also. It's a good helping hand but it will take time to replace human intelligence in the real world. On the other hand, AI works fine in a manmade environment. If we want to automate those manmade environment , it will be helpful for mankind.

What's next for ClassroomAI

  1. We will implement advanced AI feature for exam script checking where we can see where the wrong is done visually. Implementing multimodal models, this feature can be done easily
  2. as most people learn from videos, we will create a platform for generating education videos using AI and remotion.dev.
  3. improve the live ai interaction video call AI tutor with search functionalities
  4. improve course creation with adding human interaction, videos, images, evaluation system.
