Inspiration
We were inspired to create our web app by the reliance on online resources during virtual learning. We felt like that
What it does
Our product allows teachers to manage assignments and workload to make planning our tests, assignments, and projects more efficient as well as let teachers track progress and grades.
How we built it
We used python to manage a spreadsheet containing the data of all the students and classes and then used javascript, HTML, and flask to develop a website to present the data and provide a simple UI for teachers to in assignments/workload.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges we ran into included incorporating python with Javascript, using Flask, and figuring out how to use Google Drive API with python.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of learning how to develop a working website, UI, and access/edit data in a spreadsheet through python.
What we learned
We familiarized ourselves with multiple new languages and learned how to utilize multiple languages at a time as well as incorporate different packages, such as Flask.
What's next for ClassCalendar
We want to incorporate a login system, a day-by-day calendar and improve some of the graphics of our website.
