Inspiration

Information leakage can lead to the exposure of sensitive personal or confidential data. Therefore, we aim to develop a class student management system that enhances both convenience and safety.

What it does

It is a system that allows educators to manage class and student information in safe and convenient manners.

How we built it

We built it as a java project managed by Maven. The project can be divided into 3 layers(controller, mapper, and service). For the front-end, we choose to use postman instead. The data is stored in the database, which is linked to the mapper layer.

Challenges

As a team of all first year students, we are inadequate in programming languages, development frameworks and technical tools. To overcome this, we attended many workshops and utilized online resources to acquire related knowledge and skills.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have successfully overcome most of the problems by group collaboration.

What we learned

From this experience, we learnt the importance of teamwork and time management. With typically tight deadlines, Codebrew taught us how to prioritize tasks, use time efficiently, and think critically to generate ideas under pressure. It also provided us with a great opportunity to enhance our technical skills by offering access to mentors and workshops.

What's next for Class Student Management System

This Java project can still be improved by incorporating functions such as penalty points for disciplinary violations.
