Slow UCLA class planning
What it does
Provide all classes on one webpage that can be looked up and indexed in a list quickly
How we built it
Used python libraries to fetch all info on classes. HTML, JS, CSS, etc. to format and for front-end
Challenges we ran into
Getting the data from UCLA and using jquery libraries to actually present the right information to the user
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting the classes into a dictionary!
What we learned
A lot about data structure and JSON and so on. Making HTML actually work and not look like a mess
What's next for Class Planner Optimized for Speed
Better interface and more info, and more customization (GE/Fiat Lux classes, and optimization!)
