Inspiration
My teammates and I love Clash Royale. We wanted to create an app to help players improve at the game. We were curious to see what it would look like to use AI to make in game decisions.
What it does
Our app is not fully functional, but it includes a computer vision model intended to detect in game troops in real time, and then provide suggestions to the player for optimal moves, as an in game overlay. We added a functioning chatbot that leverages Gemini API to allow players to ask for open ended tips.
How we built it
Our approach was mainly vibe coding using ChatGPT, Gemini, and Amazon bedrock. We distributed tasks evenly among teammates. We communicated with each other regularly and used Github and Google Docs to share our code.
Challenges we ran into
We were unable to get the image detection to work successfully. We struggled to integrate our code together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We didn't give up until the very end, even though we lost hope of our project functioning as intended.
What we learned
Not to overwhelm ourselves with big ideas, and not to underestimate the time frame we are given to produce a product. Also, amazon bedrock is goated.
What's next for Clash AI
We plan to continue working on this project during the holiday season.
