Inspiration

We found it particularly challenging and frustrating to switch between four or five different applications just to complete a simple task. Despite having completed my first semester at the university, I still find it challenging to navigate through multiple applications just to attend an event. For instance, if I need to attend a particular event, I would typically need to open the Corq app to find the location of the event, and then switch to Google Maps to get directions to the event. This can be time-consuming and can make attending events a more challenging task than it needs to be. As a result, we believe that there is a need for a more integrated solution that simplifies the process of accessing information and resources related to the university. And it is difficult to a person with difficulties to to all these tasks. We got the inspiration of these project from our personal experiences.

What it does

Our website solves the above problem by integrating all the available university services in one place and can be accessed even by voice commands.

How we built it

We built the application by using HTML, CSS, JS, BootStrap and using the API’s of existing services. We integrated all the services and added voice commands feature and added some extra safety features for the users. Our application is designed to make the academic life of students easier and more organized. The application is equipped with a voice assistant that can help students to access academic information, schedules, grades, campus maps, and other services provided by the university.

Challenges we ran into

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Integration of Canvas Assistant: The integration of a voice assistant into the application is a significant achievement. This feature allows students to access academic information and schedules through voice commands, making it easier for students who may have difficulty accessing information through traditional means.

What we learned

Collaboration, Problem-solving, technical skills, time management, networking.

What's next for One Clark

To start, you may want to consider what specific features and functionalities you want to add to your app to enable cloud CI/CD. This could include things like integration with popular cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud, automated testing and deployment workflows, and support for containerization technologies like Docker.

Once you have a clear plan in place, you can begin the development process. This may involve hiring additional developers or bringing on outside consultants to help you build out the necessary infrastructure and codebase.
