Inspiration
Inspired by Google Classroom
What it does
Claisse is a free AI-powered platform for Indonesian teachers to manage overcrowded classrooms. Teachers input subject matter, and AI generates personalized quizzes and essays for each student based on their learning style and personality.
How we built it
Frontend: Next.js 15 + React 19 + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS Backend: PostgreSQL + Drizzle ORM + Better Auth AI: Puter AI service for content generation Features: Role-based auth, classroom management, personality assessments, homework system
Challenges we ran into
Changing ideas for 4 hours Complex authentication with teacher/student roles Searching AI that cheap yet can give a great outcome Designing database schema for educational relationships Managing TypeScript complexity across the full stack
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a complete educational platform addressing real Indonesian classroom problems Successfully integrated AI for truly personalized learning Created 100% free solution with production-ready architecture Delivered functional platform for Garuda Hacks 6.0 with impressive scope
What we learned
Working with AI services requires robust fallback systems and error handling for unreliable responses Understanding real classroom problems in Indonesia helped us build more targeted solutions Managing authentication, database relationships, and AI services taught us about system architecture at scale
