Inspiration
A parents' #1 priority is the safety of their children, but in some cases, such as while riding a school bus, students are increasingly and unnecessarily susceptible to danger.
What it does
A system of communication between bus drivers and parents relaying delays, location, and messaging created to help ensure the protection of the youth.
How we built it
We used Python and HTML in GitHub to write the code allowing for both user input from the bus driver’s perspective and an output display from the parents’ perspective.
Challenges we ran into
While creating the HTML file, we ran into numerous formatting and server issues among other minor hindrances throughout the project until its completion.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of creating a feed that displays neat text for the parents as it is inputted in by the bus driver in real-time and for learning a coding language to complete our project.
What we learned
While coding, we learned HTML from scratch to create our web page design but also the value of time management. Time constraints were a major struggle for our team, but in the end we made it work!
What's next for Clairvoyance
Clairvoyance would receive an updated web page design along with new features such as an incorporation of other school announcements within the bus reminder program and real-time GPS tracking system among others.
