Inspiration Our team has unique backgrounds that allowed us to share different perspectives before finding the common ground. We all believed that design is more than just aesthetics, it's a strategy to create impact solutions for the society.
What it does Our solution, white label, is integrated on Instagram and other social platforms that allows users complete a quiz while scrolling to improve their digital literacy. In addition, the solution allows users to compare themselves to other people, encouraging them to participate in different activities.
How we built it Our goal is to understand how students currently recognize, question, and evaluate online content before acting on it, and what they need to feel more confident in digital engagement. We interviewed 20 people to understand their perspectives.
Challenges we ran into Sometimes, the answers didn't fulfill our purpose, and we had to restructure the questions in the conversations to reach our desired goal. In addition, the sample size of the interview was less and ideally wanted to interview 30+ to make informed decisions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We enjoyed the overall process in this event. The team brought unique knowledge to better understand the direction we wanted to for creating the solution we believed it would solve the problem.
What we learned Communication is important, and there were moments where things were not cleared. Having all team members on the table allowed us to understand the problems and the next action steps in the design process.
What's next for CLAIRO Our potential solution is capable to solve a particular issue, and we believed this can create an impact to the target users in improving their awareness in digital media.
