Inspiration
Many great opportunities disappear before people even discover them. Hackathons, internships, scholarships, grants, fellowships, startup programs, and research calls are scattered across websites, PDFs, newsletters, university pages, and social posts. As a student and builder, I wanted to create an AI agent that helps people find and act on the right opportunities before deadlines pass.
What it does
ClaimRadar is a real-time opportunity intelligence agent. Users can search by voice or chat for opportunities such as hackathons, internships, grants, scholarships, fellowships, and startup programs. The app finds live opportunities from the web, verifies source information, ranks each result by fit, urgency, and impact, and turns it into a clear action plan.
It also supports secure API key setup, a professional voice-agent interface, transcripts, call history, saved opportunities, status tracking, and next-step actions such as drafting emails or application answers.
How we built it
We built ClaimRadar as a polished SaaS-style web app with a responsive interface, dark/light mode, ranked opportunity cards, saved opportunity tracking, profile preferences, and API settings.
The product concept uses:
- Tavily for live web search, extraction, and source verification
- Nebius Token Factory for reasoning, summarization, scoring, and drafting
- ElevenLabs for the voice-agent experience
- A modern web UI designed for students, job seekers, researchers, founders, and builders
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was turning scattered, unstructured web information into something useful and trustworthy. Opportunity pages often have incomplete details, different formats, unclear deadlines, or eligibility hidden deep in the page.
Another challenge was designing the product as more than a demo. We wanted it to feel like a real, shippable tool with secure key handling, clear ranking logic, saved workflows, voice interaction, and a professional user experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that ClaimRadar feels like a real product, not just a hackathon prototype. It connects a real user problem with live web intelligence, AI reasoning, and a practical workflow.
The app clearly shows how AI agents can help people discover opportunities, understand eligibility, prioritize deadlines, and prepare their next action. We are also proud of the voice-first direction because it makes opportunity discovery feel faster, more accessible, and more natural.
What we learned
We learned that the real value of AI agents is not only finding information, but helping users decide what to do next. Ranking, verification, urgency, and action planning are just as important as search.
We also learned that trust matters. Users need to see source links, confidence levels, deadlines, eligibility, and why an opportunity was recommended.
What's next for ClaimRadar
Next, we want to add continuous monitoring so users can receive alerts when new high-fit opportunities appear. We also plan to improve profile-based matching, calendar reminders, application drafting, university and career-center dashboards, and team/community opportunity feeds.
The long-term goal is to make ClaimRadar an opportunity radar for students, immigrants, researchers, and builders, helping people access life-changing opportunities they might otherwise miss.
