Inspiration
ClaimGuard was inspired by our vision to provide effective support for disaster victims facing insurance claim rejections. In times of crisis, small errors in documentation can delay essential financial relief, adding undue hardship. We wanted to create a tool that helps people secure the aid they deserve without unnecessary obstacles.
What We Learned
Through ClaimGuard, we learned the intricate requirements of insurance documentation and how AI can assist in pinpointing common errors that lead to rejections. Our journey emphasized the importance of user-friendly solutions for people in vulnerable situations.
How We Built It
Using IBM’s watsonx.ai platform, we built ClaimGuard with a clear focus on usability. The React-based interface allows for easy document uploads, while our backend AI model analyzes for potential errors and suggests improvements, increasing claim acceptance rates.
Challenges We Faced
A key challenge was refining the AI to accurately identify specific document errors within complex insurance language. Advanced prompt engineering and ongoing testing were essential to ensure ClaimGuard provides reliable, actionable guidance for users in need.
