Inspiration
Insurance claims often involve manual verification, disconnected systems, delayed approvals, and inconsistent fraud detection. We built ClaimGuard AI to streamline the entire claims lifecycle using AI agents that automate routine tasks, provide explainable decisions, and keep humans involved where critical decisions are required.
What it does
ClaimGuard AI is an enterprise AI-powered insurance claims orchestration platform that automates claim intake, document validation, policy verification, fraud analysis, settlement recommendations, human approvals, audit logging, and analytics through an intelligent multi-agent workflow.
How we built it
We developed a modular enterprise architecture using FastAPI for backend services, Streamlit for the enterprise dashboard, LangGraph for AI agent orchestration, MongoDB for persistence, JWT-based authentication, and Docker for deployment. Multiple specialized AI agents collaborate to process claims while maintaining explainability and auditability.
Challenges we ran into
Designing a scalable multi-agent workflow, coordinating agent communication, implementing explainable decision logic, handling secure authentication, integrating enterprise workflows, and building a responsive dashboard while maintaining modular and production-ready architecture.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Built an end-to-end AI-driven insurance claims platform. Implemented intelligent multi-agent orchestration. Created an enterprise-grade dashboard with real-time operational insights. Enabled fraud intelligence, human-in-the-loop approvals, and audit-ready workflows. Designed a scalable, modular architecture suitable for enterprise deployment. What we learned
This project strengthened our understanding of enterprise AI orchestration, workflow automation, secure API design, explainable AI, human-AI collaboration, and scalable software architecture for business-critical applications.
What's next for ClaimGuard-AI
We plan to integrate OCR and document intelligence, real insurance policy systems, predictive fraud models, payment processing, cloud-native deployment, observability, enterprise identity providers, and UiPath Maestro workflows for end-to-end autonomous claims operations.
