Inspiration

What inspires us to start this project is our interest in doing 'self study' with using the internet, however in doing so we face some problems such as the lack of mentor, don't know where to start, etc.

What it does

This program mainly does two things:

• Create a personalized roadmap for the user's self study needs, utilizing OpenAI API.
• Facilitates user with groups, as a means to connect and share knowledge/experiences with other people

How we built it

We built it using Django and OpenAI API

Challenges we ran into

• Difficulty in setting the server for the Group using Websocket.
• Difficulty in finding the newest guide for OpenAI API.
• Difficulty in using Git and Github.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Utilizing AI in our project
• Being able to work with each other as a team

What we learned

We learn so much about frameworks, databases, and also Git. Not only that, we learn about teamwork.

What's next for Civitas

• Automatically assign user to a small group (3-8 members + a mentor) based on their needs.
• Create checklist for steps detailed in roadmap to record progress.
• Daily group accountability check-in.
• Group leaderboard.
