Inspiration

Hi! I'm an international contestant from Croatia. Over the years we've had a few high profile public spending nepotism and corruption cases that had significant public paper trails. The problem is that local mayors and managers of obscure projects don't face much public scrutiny, so these finding go unnoticed for years. AI changes the picture, allowing focused intelligent investigations into existing and future public spending records. This is my project, Civility.

What it does

Enter a project and a place, and our app will go into a thorough process of document gathering and collection. After assembling an ontology with all the invoices, entities and relations, our specialized agents find inconcistencies in the records, flagging them for review with an accessed risk score and highlighted problematic passages.

The investigation is tractable with our own specific format encoding insights, revisions, and evidence proofs. Dozens of insights from previous fraud and corruption cases are synthesised to assure maximum quality with the review process.

How we built it

We used Apify and Elasticbase for data fetching and storage.

Missing or hard to reach data, ensuring findings are interpretable and meaningfull.

What's next for Civility

Resource expansion, more cases ingested, and finally - state wide deployment to catch the next fraud and corruption scandal!
