CivicScope

Inspiration

Addressing policy issues in an effective, equitable way is a challenge for local policymakers - especially in times of crisis. This is partially due to lack of high-level, real-time knowledge of the needs, insights, and priorities of their full constituent base.

What it does

CivicScope is a hub that provides tools for informal, real-time citizen polling, idea crowdsourcing, and data visualization. All users within the platform are ID-verified and limited to residents of a relevant community. A simple interface enables high-level views of the hard data behind community needs and numbers of residents affected. It also provides an quick, easy, more transparent, and more equitable means of interactive citizen engagement. With unprecedented real-time intelligence on the issues, policymakers and their constituents can generate better ideas and respond to challenges with speed and clarity.
