CivicDuty helps people learn about government, practice voting with mock ballots, and become more confident, informed voters.

What inspired me was the idea of creating a Duolingo-style learning experience but for civics. I wanted it to feel fun, engaging, and gamified, while also giving people the tools to practice voting and research government processes in a hands-on way.

Through this project, I learned how to become a better UI/UX designer, focusing on how to make complex civic topics simple and enjoyable to explore.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was time management. Since I was very busy, I couldn’t fully develop the platform yet. Instead, I focused on designing a working prototype in Figma, which I plan to develop further using Next.js.
