CivicLens AI — Where public money becomes public knowledge.
Government spending data can be difficult for ordinary citizens to understand. People often cannot easily see how much was allocated, how much was spent, how many people benefited, or where unusual spending patterns may exist.
CivicLens AI addresses this transparency gap through an AI-powered, citizen-friendly dashboard.
Our platform visualizes public-benefit spending through allocation, expenditure, beneficiary, utilization, district, and program-level insights. Users can filter the data and explore different regions and programs interactively.
Our Transparency Monitor identifies unusual spending patterns or potential transparency gaps that may require further investigation. It does not claim to detect corruption.
The key feature is Ask CivicLens AI, powered by Gemini. Users can ask questions in natural language, and the system provides data-grounded answers with supporting figures and calculations.
For this prototype, we use clearly labeled synthetic data. In the future, CivicLens could integrate verified government open-data sources and official APIs.
Our vision is simple:
Make public financial information understandable, accessible, and transparent for everyone.
