A few months ago, I decided to look into our elected representatives and their proposed policies. I noticed how incredibly difficult it is for the average person to find this information. Therefore, we decided to make a game where it was easy to learn the stance of elected representatives, as well as the names of specific steps they've taken to address issues.
We built it in JavaScript and html, and we hosted a server so you can access it on any device with the link provided: https://civic-showdown.hs67.repl.co/
We ran into numerous challenges, namely fitting our ideas into the 24-hour timeline. We settled on making two playable characters and filling them with applicable policies they've introduced.
We are very proud of what we created, particularly the art style and the ability to provide interesting information for those looking for their representatives' policies.
We learned much about hosting servers and working to fit all of our ideas into 24 hours.
