Inspiration

A lack of community in the Colorado Springs area as someone that grew up here.

What it does

Provides easy access and subscription to a newsletter so the average person can stay up to date with civil issues that pertain to them or areas near them.

How we built it

We used a mix of python, javascript, html, css, mysql-lite to provide the cleanest experience for the user.

Challenges we ran into

Properly gathering and parsing the data used in each of these meetings due to seemingly antiquated practices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It is a fully established pipeline.

The sheer power of web development when paired with custom APIs

What's next for Civic Digest

Public free hosting with basic LLM usage to provide better summaries at a digestible level for the user.
