I've been in the architectural industry for over 15 years and it's amazing to see how inefficient architects work. Salaries are low and architectural fees are high because there aren't ways to scale up the architectural services. I want to make a change and disrupt this industry.
CITYstructure Report is to pull together all planning information a property owner or a developer needs in order to calculate the feasibility of a project. Part of this report are drawings and data of the maximum buildable area on the property.
I built it in QGIS
Challenges: I ran into is GIS data which is not as accurate to the point of not needing any manual input
Accomplishments: I'm proud of is that I already have paying customers at only 2 months of launching the product
What I learned is that there are many opportunities of improvement in the planning and permitting process
What's next for CITYstructure is building an online platform integrated in an end-to-end pre-construction process (feasibility phase)
